Favourite folders

I have read all sorts of stuff re the Favourite Folder but I cannot get mine
to appear. I used it all the time and I can save folders to the "Favourite
Folders" but it does not appear and despite all my efforts I cannot get it to
show. Please help me to get it to work as it is clearly a MS Outlook 'bug"
