Favourites in Word ?

I am a relatively new Mac user, so please excuse me if I've missed an obvious....

In MS Word, I could click on Tools and add a file or folder to favourites. I don't see that on Mac Office 2008. How do I gain fast access to regularly used folders and files please.

TIA

In Mac OS, this is all done through the Finder, not in the Application.

Open the Finder, then open Mac Help and search for the following topics:

" Changing how items are shown in Finder windows"

" Using the sidebar to open folders in the Finder"

" Tips for organizing your computer"

" Where is my Favorites folder?"

By the time you have read all those, you will know more than most users do
about organising a Mac :)

Cheers

You can add frequently accessed files to the Work menu. Open a file, then
click on Work>Add to Work menu.

John, Thank you so much for responding. This has resolved a huge 'deal breaker' for me, transferring my business from PC to Mac.

Michel, I couldn't manage to add a folder, only a file. Drat. However, John's has resolved things nicely.

Thanks again both for responding. Appreciated.

You might look further at Word's File> Open Recent feature as well as the
File> Project Gallery - Recent page. Additionally you can add folder
shortcuts to teh OS X Dock [I'm not sure if that's covered in the stuff John
referred you to or not].
