fax can't see dailing scripts

I got my outlook 2002 from office XP pro running in XP. I got outlook to
send faxes using Fax an optional program you can install as part of XP. It
works great, very efficient, you can even put a bunch in a distribution list
and outlook faxes them one by one. The hang is that even thought outlook
does a great job of accessing my long distance carrier with scripts when
dialing a contact, when you send a fax outlook uses Fax and Fax just dials 1
and the number. So I found out: right click my computer, click manage,
double click services and apps, double click services, double click Fax,
click log in tab; then change accounts. But when I do I get a message: log
in problems, and it won't change accounts. Any suggestions?

You can't change logon accounts for the Fax Service in Windows XP.
Like all of its predecessors, the Windows XP Fax service will not process
dialing rules unless the phone number to which you are sending the fax is in
"international format." Details on how to use international format to invoke
dialing rules are available here:
