Resolved means that Outlook has checked the validity of the electronic
address and found it to be valid. It will indicate that state by
underlining the address in the Contact Record. Contacts that you import
for example will not have their addresses resolved and will not appear in
the address book. Sometimes just opening the Contact Record will force
the resolution, and the Contact will then appear in the address book.
As a test, create a new Contact with a valid, resolved number in a fax
field. Does it appear when you open the address book in Fax?

Could you please define "resolved"
I somewhat understand that term referring to dns, but the fax numbers
all look the same in my address book.
Thank you.
Any valid fax number in your Contacts Folder that is resolved will
appear in the address book. Accordingly, one of those conditions is not
true.

Sorry to be unclear..
When I go to Windows XP Pro fax to send a fax from a program (such as
Word or Acrobat), I select to print on fax. Then when I select address
book, some fax numbers are listed and some aren't. But if I go to
Outlook address book they are all there and all in canonical form. For
the ones that aren't listed, I must go to Outlook and look up the
number, and type it into the fax number dialog. This is inconvenient.
Thank you.
Unclear post. Show where? Are all numbers resolved?

At my office (Outlook 2003 Pro) some fax numbers show when sending a
fax from XP Pro and some do not. They all show in Outlook contacts,
and I have the proper format for all of them. I only have one
contacts folder.
Also, I have Sperry schedule recurring email, and if I do anything
in outlook at the time the recurring email is sending, Outlook gets
buggy and the new mail sound has an echo.
Comments or suggestions appreciated.
Thank you.
