Fax problem from Word with Panthers built in

I'm having trouble faxing from Word 10.1.5 (Swedish version) using the OS
10.3.2-3s fax function. I can't choose an address from Address Book from
the Print window (the window you get when you've chosen Fax in the first
Print window). The Address Book window opens, but you can't choose an
address, you just get a sound when you click on an address. And the only
way to leave the window is with esc .

I can however write in a fax number manually, and if it's in Address Book it
will even auto complete. The fax will send ok.

This isn't a problem with Text Edit.

I have FaxSTF 10.5 installed, and it seems to work ok, maybe there's a
conflict, but I don't think so....

Anyone recognize this problem?

Yup - as I understand it, this is a bug that's partly Apple's, partly
MS's fault. Apparently the Apple API that MS uses doesn't work as
advertised (and, like many Apple applications, they don't always use
their own published APIs, which is one reason Text Edit works). In any
case, MS isn't going to spend a lot of time fixing their end until Apple
fixes its end, so continue to use the workaround of typing it in... The
developers are still talking with each other and working toward a
resolution.
