feature missing or needed in word2008

This morning I was asked to create greeting card.

I needed an outside Title an inside prose and a picture across from it

so I found text orientation guess what no ability to flip 180 the item
one so when folded would have same orientation as the inside contents.

here is what I had to do:

create all the type in word. save then save as PDF.

then I opened the PDF in Graphics Converter.

But when I attempted to insert the graphic that was in color it became B&W.

so I saved the PDF as a JPEG image


Now I was able to select just the title and flip 180 degrees.

then opened jpeg and select the Tile and saved as separate file.

then saved the inside contents as another file.

Now I opened Fireworks and imported each item and placed where desired
and the color image of the picture.

moved selections as needed.

saved completed file and then printed.


Could I have done everything in Word2008?

though I've not tested them in Word 2008.

But yeah, some templates for greeting cards that handle this
automatically would be a good idea. Help | Send Feedback.
