feature not installed

I use the office suite and quite frequently get the "this
feature is not currently installed, do you want to install
now, olease insert CDROM. I use a laptop and do not carry
CDROM's with me. Is there a way that I can install all
the features or put a folder on the hard drive that will
contain the neccesary files needed for an installation?
This will prevent me from having to wait to use the
feature. I currently use Office 2000, but will be
upgrading to XP by the years end.

Run Office setup, and specify that you want ALL components installed.

You can always copy the entire contents of the Office CD to your harddrive and install from there. Then it will look there when it wants to install a component. But note there is no other way to make sure that EVERYTHING is installed. Case in point Word templates.
