OneNote really needs some tools for creating structured vector graphics and
for manipulating ink sketches as vector graphics, but a simple lightweight
solution might be to add a "magic wand" tool that turned affected ink
strokes into the closest perfect shapes; e.g. straightening lines, smoothing
circles, making rectangles straight and square, etc. This single, simple
tool would take the place of many different shape tools. Granted, the logic
behind it would be complicated, but there have been many successful
demonstrations of similar behaviors in existing products (even the Physics
Illustrator PowerToy). As an adjunct, a better tool for resizing ink strokes
and ink drawings would be helpful. Together, these two intuitive tools would
eliminate the need for a complement of vector graphics tools.
