Hello,
I would like to request that BCM actually sync with Exchange 2003 / WM5. My
clients want to be able to access that data via OWA. I consult for 5 small
companies that only have about 2 -4 sales people each so a full blown
solution would be rediculous. BCM does all the contact management they need
but they can't access squat when they are on the road without using
PCAnywhere or some other cumbersome solution. OWA would be great for
accessing their contact info. They aren't asking for any advanced search
functions - just sync the contact info/fields supported by standard OWA and
they would be SOOO happy. Same thing with WM5. They would really want to
sync their BCM contacts - whatever standard fields they could with WM5. I
don't think BCM really offers anything to anyone who leaves the office until
those two features are implemented.
I've heard ethnocentric arguments that features like this aren't meant for
small businesses. I'm pretty sure SBS is for small businesses. The
companies that I work with work with SBS. Not sure how this doesn't fit in
with small businesses.
I know it has been mentioned quite a few times before but I haven't seen any
progress.
