Hi,
My name is Dan. My mom has recently gone back to graduite school and
has been doing alot of paper writing useing Word. My mother has a
basic understanding of how to type in Word, but not much more than
that. Many times i have found her be doing things that Word will do
for you if you know how to tell it to. Other times she has asked me
how to do things and i will have no idea how to do that, so i will go
to this message board to find out. As i go through this message board
i see nthat some people on these boards (mainly MVPs ) have a vast
knowdlge of and how to use features in Word that most people have no
idea about. I was wondering if anybody knew of an online-corse my mom
could take that might show her some of these features. My mother is
fairly good with technology and i would probly take it along with her
just to make sure she gets as much out of it as possible. I don't know
if we should take a corse in word 2003 or xp (i curently own word xp,
but it would seem more sensable to shell out the mony for 2003 and not
learn somthing that is quickly going to be outdated) . From my
experance i dont think a how-to book would be good because you always
buy them and put them away for another day, which dosn't ever seem to
come.
