Both in my office with a MAC and Windows machines, and home with a MAC
Mini, I find it helpful to use the feedback with sound feature,
particularly when working with Word and EXCEL. It helps confirm that
responses to my commands have occurred. The problem, primarily Office
2004 on the MACs, is that although I keep selecting the sound feedback
option, it does not stay permanently, and I must select it again with
almost every new document and spreadsheet. Yet the help screens seem
to indicate that, once selected, the feedback with sound should happen
with all subsequent Office programs. Can anyone tell me what I may be
missing that would make this option disappear? Also, we used to be
able to add more alert sounds beyond the small set that comes with
these programs. Is that option still available?
Thank you.
