feedback

I recently completed my first website using FrontPage. I am very pleased
with the results; however, my purpose in creating it was to obtain feedback
on its content from those who visit it. As I understand it, I can create a
Guestbook, a Web log or a newsgroup or perhaps some combination of these to
accomplish this purpose. I would appreciate any guidance as to which of
these might best accomplish my purpose and any available references to
literature that describes the functionality of these various choices.

In addition, I would like to know if I create a Web log if it must be a
separate website or if it can be combined with the existing one.

Thank you for your help.

Why not just create a feedback form on the site that visitors can fill in
and have it emailed to you?

Russ,
I think I would do either a blog or forum, and place a link to that on the
pages you wanted feedback on.

The problems with the FP Guestbook and FP Discussion forum is that they were
engineered at a time when forms were not spammed. There really is no way to
modify these FPSE based components to reduce/eliminate spammage
The problem with a true newsgroup is that it does not run on a webpage.
Community Server is an option there which can do the nntp(newsgroup)
protocal as well as the http(web) interface.

A forum or blog can be added into an existing site, it generally would be in
a seperate folder acting as another web application.

Which method to go with and which product are going to be determined by what
type of server your site is on. Many hosts have these applications available
