Field Code - Ask

J

JS

I am working on a template in Word 2002. I'm using the Ask field code.
Everything works fine except two things.

One of the fields that I bookmarked is in a header. It doesn't seem to
populate in a Header. Can this be fixed?

The other problem that I am having is on the first page it is formated to be
a size 14 pt. On the remaining page it prefills a size 14 pt when I want it
to match the formating size 12 pt. I've read a lot about switches? Nothing
seems to make sense to me. I've just started learning how to work with the
field codes.

Any help is really appreciated!

You could investigate the Styleref field for the header as Styleref will
update automatically. Otherwise you will have to include code to update the
header REF field.

For the field switch you need to add a charformat switch (and remove any
mergeformat switch) then format the field as you want the content to appear.
