Field Code Problem

Rachel

Word 2000

The field codes get overlapped, it's like one letter is
written right on top of the other. If I go to font to
check the character spacing its fine and in the font
sample everything is fine. When I emailed it to someone
else it looked fine to them. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Hi Rachel,

My first inclination was to say "damaged document", because
I've seen things like this in old documents.

But when you say it looks fine on others' machines, then I
suspect you may need to replace your graphics card driver.
Perhaps it's become damaged...

Hi Rachel,
other graphics look fine
could it be the normal.doc?
The suspicion I ventured has nothing to do with graphics,
per se, but with how the software your machine uses to
display things on the monitor is interacting with Word.

A computer has a "graphics card" that handles communication
with the monitor. And the graphics card driver is the
software interface. As problems become apparent, the
manufacturer of the graphics card issues new drivers to fix
them. And sometimes the software files can get damaged.

I'm saying it sounds like you need to download and install
the most recent driver for your graphics card. That that
might fix the problem.
