Field code to check if a paragraph style exists

R

Remy

Is it possible to create a field code that will check for a certain paragraph
style in the header of a Word 2003 document?
Eg. if paragraph style A exists insert that style in the header else insert
paragraph style B.

No. The closest thing is the STYLEREF field but from your description I
don't think it will do the job you want.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? We may be able to suggest another
approach.

(For one thing, your statement is ambiguous - e.g.
a. do you mean that paragraph style A is being used in the document? (it
can be defined but not used)
b. do you mean that paragraph style A is being used in the header?)
