Field codes display instead of objects

I have several documents that I'd prepared over the last
several weeks with certain objects in them. For example,
a Visio file may be embedded or a hyperlink may be
present. The actual object had always shown up on my
screen. That is, I could see and edit the Visio object
and I could see the actual hyperlink. Recently, the view
shifted to that of the field code. Not sure what I did,
but can't seem to get them off to once again display the
object.

Does anyone know how I can get my display to once again
show the object instead of the field code? Word Help
says to use Alt+F9, but this doesn't work.

Any advice is very much appreciated.

Hi Tom,

Alt+F9 should toggle off the field codes. Another way though is to select
Options from the Tools menu and then go to the View tab and uncheck the
Field Codes box.
