Field number format

I am trying to make a field start with the number 1, but I want it to have 3
zeros infront of it, like 0001. I am combining it with another field and want
it to look like this,"570001" instead of "571". This is a number field since
I need it to increment by one every new record.

Thank you, this worked. Something must have been wrong with my first DB since
this is what I had in the defaut, yet it did not work. I started from scratch
and it worked fine.
