Field properties formatting not allowing a number to be entered.

With an Access 2000 database, I have the field set as
follows:

Field Size is Single
Format is Currency
Decimal is 2

When I manually enter the number 298722.74 it converts it
to 298722.75. I have changed the formating to many
different types and each time it will change the .74
to .75. Any ideas of how to stop it from converting that
last decimal place?
