field properties

When I try to format a text field to a color it does not
work. The command I use is [red] in the format field
properties box. The data type is text. When I save and
go into datasheet view, the text is still black. I'm
using Access XP on Windows 2000. Thank you for any help.

Sue,

As far as I know, there is no facility to control the colour of data
displayed in tables. If there is, I have never seen or used such. The
data display funtionality in tables is very limited. This is because
tables are for data storage, and are not normally seen in database
usage, so it doesn't really matter what it looks like. You can adjust
the colour of data in a form or report, including conditional formatting.
