field types - can you describe them?

Can anyone point me to a description of the various types of fields in
Outlook? I'm aiming to add fields to Contacts and don't know what keywords,
formula etc. are about.

custom fields and data types" that explains the all. What kind of data do
you want to store?

I'm trying to write an advanced training session that covers functions of
Outlook. Some of which I don't fully understand yet! My aim with regard to
fields is to be able to explain them to many people and answer their
questions. I'll make up some examples for them to work on.
