Fields added at non unique indexes???

I am getting strange results on using the Fields.Add method. It actually
doesn't always add fields at unique indexes, as I expected. I am quite new
to VBA and the Word object model, so I am wondering if this is the normal
behavior. If it is not, how to correct it?
