Fields/Bookmarks in Word Document

STeve

Hi guys,

I was wondering whether or not it was possible to determine whether
the current line you are on belongs to a bookmark/field. I want to
use information stored in the bookmark/field (ie. file name) so that
when I parse the document I know the name of the file to save the
various sections.

Thanks in advance
Steve

I'm not sure how the first and last sentences are related. Why would
you have to be in the line to get the information?

FileName:=doc.Bookmarks("TheName").Range.Text & ".doc"
(for example)

But you could try using InRange on the bookmark range plus
Selection.Range
