With either a Ref field or a StyleRef field. The Ref field requires that you
set a bookmark for the name (probably after you type the name). A StyleRef
field requires that what you want to copy be formatted using a unique style
but doesn't require the bookmark. Both would require you to SelectAll and
press F9 to update the reference fields (or select the fields and update
them individually).
I use the StyleRef field for my letterhead template. The name of the person
to whom the letter is addressed is formatted in the style "Address First
Line" and my continuation header has a line:
Letter to { StyleRef "Address First Line" }
The style is set so that the next line will be in the "Address" style.
You may want to take a look at "online forms" in Word's help. In a form, you
can use a Ref field to repeat information typed into a text field. If you
check the field's properties to calculate on exit, it will automatically
update any Ref fields that depend on it.

How can I type the Client's name on the first page of a document, and have
word automatically copy it to the last page, so there are no errors in
spelling.
