File Access Between Applications

I am trying to insert an OLE object, namely a Word
Document, into an Access table. I get an error which
indicates that Access has trouble in communicating with
the OLE server. Word and Access applications are both on
my computer so I have no idea why Access can't retrieve
the document.

Possibly you have another instance of Word open, or a "ghost" instance,
which you may be able to find in your task manager.
Or you could simply reboot your PC and see if the insert works correctly.

Rebooting doesn't help. I know that a tech last week messed with my network
connections when trying to get my broadband modem to work correctly. That is
the only change in my configuration since the OLE insert worked correctly.
