Hi, Randy.
You remarked that you "may" have converted the Access 97 database to Access
2003. To find out, look at the title bar of the database window (that's the
window that shows the icons for and names of the tables, queries, forms, et
cetera). You'll see:
NameOfYourDatabase: Database (Access 97 file format)
.... if it's still in Access 97 format. If not, you'll see what file format
it's now in. If you have a simple database and no code using functions or
features that were introduced in Access 2000 or later versions, then you
probably won't have any problems converting your database back to Access 97.
To convert the database, on the menu, select Tools -> Database Utilities ->
Convert Database -> To Access 97 format. An Open file dialog window will
open to allow you to type the name of the new database and select the
directory to place the new database. When you convert it, Access will
advise you that:
"After you have converted this file to Access 97 file format, and
functionality specific to Access 2000 or later will be lost."
HTH.
