File conversion error ~$N8Cwyw.dot

I have an error about file conversion with ~$N8Cwyw.dot when I load up a file
with Word 2003. I am asked to select the encoding that makes my document
readable. I am still able to read my documents once I cancel my way out of
the encoding/file conversion box. How can I stop this problem?

If you get this message when you start Word, it's because this file is in
Word's Startup folder. It is the "owner" file for a global template that has
been removed. With Word closed, navigate to the Word Startup folder (you can
find the path from the File Locations tabs of Tools | Options in Word) and
delete the file.
