file data source creation error

Using the database wizard I am following the steps to link to a
speadsheet. I follow the sub steps to create a data source but after
finishing I get a propt that reads "the file data source was not
saved" with no explanation as to why.

Any help will be appreciated

Database wizard forces us long tiresome journey
with many branches with no guidpost,
My recomendation is to take a memo on the paper
so that you can check which path you were walking.

By the way, Visio 2007 has better stronger
data Link functionality functionarity.

Sorry but I dont understand, take a memo on what paper?

Its nice to know that the external data links are more robust in Visio
2007. Now to justify getting it!

Did you name the range in the Excel spreadsheet?
In earlier versions of the Database Wizard, the name had to be "Database"
