File download warnings on Office SP1 - XPsp2

I know this was discussed last November but am hoping someone has found a
solution or work around by this time. When downloading InfoPath XML
documents I get an open/save dialog pop up. I would like to get rid of this
dialog and just open the files directly by default. If I disable the
notification then nothing happens as IE/infopath does not know what to do so
it ignores it all. There was a registry hack and file change needed pre
XPSP2 but I have not seen anything on getting rid of this on post XPsp2? If
anyone has seen this and knows the fix please let me know.

I guess from lack of response that I can assume this is still an issue?
From the readings I saw in November 2004 I do not believe I am the only one
to run into this. Anyone else still seeing this or did you develop a
workaround in your app? I am looking at possibilities of coding around this
but would like to hear how others dealt with this issue.
