File error: data may have been lost

I get the following message when i attempt to open an
excel file

file error: data may have been lost. I click ok then the
file opens....

Perhaps the file is corrupt?

Does it happen with all files?

Copy the data from it once opens to a new spreadsheet, re-
save it and see if the problem still occurs.
