SyncToy seems to Sync/Echo fairly well on the file level; however it doesn’t
appear to do ‎very well with Folders! ‎
I renamed a folder on the Left and added additional files to it, I then ran
SyncToy and on ‎the Right I ended up with the newly renamed folder and all
the files that were suppose to ‎be in it as well as an empty folder with the
old folder name. Not very productive to have ‎to try and remember what
folders you recently renamed and then have to manually go ‎and delete the old
empty folders. Any idea what is going on here? It seems to happen just ‎as
stated above using either Sync or Echo.‎
Also, the help file is wrong where it informs about getting SyncToy to run
in Task ‎Scheduler, it claims to use the syntax of SyncToy.exe –R, however
when you create the ‎task it is created as a SyncToy.lnk – not an EXE; the
switch doesn’t work with a .lnk and ‎changing SyncToy.lnk to SyncToy.exe
produced a failed task.‎
In addition, SyncToy is very slow when working with large amounts of data as
typically ‎found in graphics and media.‎
