File History Listing

My PowerPoint, Publisher, and Excel programs will not keep a history file listing under File beyond a PC shut down. My Word app will keep the most recent files listed indefinitely.

I have gone to Tools >options>general tab and check to make sure saving up to 9 files in history is enabled in all these apps.

What can I do to keep a history listing of the most recent opened files for PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher? I really miss this feature.

Have you done all the updates along with Detect and repair for your
particular version of your Office files. The MRU list works just fine in all
applications of 2003
