In word 2002, when i try to open a shared folder, i get
the message that the file is in use, but it doesn't say
who is using it. How do i turn that on?

Hi Michele,

You may have encountered a left over temporary file that
wasn't deleted (usually when Word crashes). See if using
Start=>Find/Search and looking for files with the string
~$*.*;*.tmp
and deleting those files helps clear the message.

Michelle,
If the other suggestion didn't work and if the file is on
a server, have the server administrator delete the
file/process that is in use on the server side.
