file is locked

Nt 4.0 network ; Win95 Clients ; Excel 97
When opening an excel file located on a shared folder
users always get 'file is locked' message. Around 8 to 10
users have access to this folder w/ mixed Read and Change
rights to it. Any ideas?

Someone is not closing out of file in the correct way. Try rebooting the
Server, and clean out c:\windows\temp directory of each client
