File issues

J

Joe

I am running office 2000 pro, and if I attempt to open any
office file (excel, word, etc) nothing will occur and I
will get this dialog:

Cannot find the file [filename] (or one of its components).
Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all
required libraries are available.

Does anyone have a idea as to what is causing this?

Hi Joe,

The file associations may have been damaged. You can
use Detect & Repair from the Help Menu in Word to
repair them or you can try using Start=>Run in Windows
and typing these items separately

Winword.exe /regserver
Excel.exe /regserver
