File List Box

My file list box within my Office XP applications is taking a long time to
display files and folders when opening, saving, attaching, etc..... I'm up to
date on the Office XP updates. Is there something that needs to be running
like Fast Find from older versions of office to allow the applications to
quick build the file lists?

Usual reason is that there is an UNconnected mapped drive that needs to
time out before the list finishes displaying. Remove the "dead"
connection/mapping and system should respond quickly.
