File Location Preferences

Just recently got a message while I was using a document that I had not specified a file location for Autosave. I went to the Word Preferences, File Location, and saw a long list of things to specify locations for. I specified "Documents" for everything that had a blank line after it. Now, I'm not sure I did the right thing, but there doesn't seem to be any way to get that blank line again. How do I return all the File Location Preferences to default?

The only way to set those back to default is to blow away your preferences:

Delete:
User/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2008 (the whole folder!)

Cheers

Thanks, I will try that. I thought that was probably the answer, but was a little worried about throwing away the entire folder!

Got rid of everything, but, I had to delete all the individual microsoft preferences-- not just the Microsoft folder. I left the Microsoft folder that was in the Application Support folder intact. Now, everything is working great. Thanks-- the other info is in case anyone else comes up with this question.
