I have a customer that uses Office XP (Word) that has
over 800 MB of data consisting of over 20,000 files. They
use the search option to locate what file thay need
instead of grouping the files by subject or date. They
are on a small ethernet 10/100 network consisting of 30
New P4 PC's with 256 MB Ram on the WinXP Pro. Platform.
When using this method of file search they are very very
slow accessing.
What do I need to do to fix this problem? The database is
getting larger by the day. Change to a new way of file
search, change equipment ( to what?). Please help
