File menu keeps on dropping down

for no reason, my file menu keeps on dropping down... almost every 10 seconds
after word is started. it would just keep on dropping while i type, even if i
havent pressed the alt key or something... another concern of mine is that
almost everytime after i print something on my epson, when i look at my
document, most of the texts that i typed would appear as boxes... and i would
have to undo it a couple of times just so i could see my text. i dont know
what to do about this. i already tried detect and repair from the help menu...

Make sure you don't have Speech enabled under the Tools menu.
