file modify creation access time are not displayed in file search

I have reason to believe that a third party (very
possibly a hacker) has changed setting for file modify
creation access time are not displayed in file search in
windows XP. In other words, I can't see what has been
done and when that event occurred.

I am more or less a novice user and never used
Microsoft's Newsgroups service before. I could use some
help.

You have posted to a newsgroup for discussing security in Access, the
database product.
