file named mssvr

a file associated with 2020search, named mssvr.exe interferes with the opening of files in Microsoft 2000 Word and Excel. I have tried to delete it but can't. Why does it interfere, and how can I get rid of it?

programs in the Control Panel. Also update your installation of Office to
