'file not available' message in word

When I try to open any file in Word the message 'file not
available' appears. Even if I open a new file and save it
and close it, when I try to open it again the message
appears. The files appear to be in the correct place.

Disable the Office Plugin that comes with Norton/Symantec Antivirus. See
