File Not Available message when retreiving files

I can create a new document in Word and Save it. But then when I try to
retrieve it I get a message stating "File Not Available".

This also happens in Powerpoint but the error message reads, "Powerpoint
can't read <name of file>.

Help me Obe Won Kanobe, you're my only hope!
