File not available

I recently started receiving the same error (file ... is
not available) when attempting to open an existing word
(.doc) file. I did not recently install any updates

I figured it out!.. Norton Antivirus was the problem..
I removed norton and word worked just fine..
re-installed norton, and all programs are happy now.

Whenever you install software, disable your antivirus
software.
