"file not available"

I can not access any of my Word files. Yes they are on
this drive and backup and Open Office will load them.
When trying to access a Word file, I get the flie not
available error and then when closing Word, I get "there
have been changes made to the golbal Normal" and can not
exit with out saving these changes.
I use Win XP Pro.
HELP!!!!!

Hi Steve,

If you use Norton AV then try disabling the "Office Plug-in" option
found in Norton Options under the Miscellaneous section.
