File Not Found (Error 53) going into VBA on Project 2000

Pete Rooney

I have working with Project 2000 and use a plan that I have inherited from a
colleague who's no longer at the company.
Whenever I hit <<Shift>>+F11 to go into the VBA environment, I get a "File
not found" dialog box which I have to click several times to get rid of.
After that, VBA works OK. I don't get the problem with any other plan and the
plan throws up the same errors on another PC in the office, running Project
2002 - both PCs run Win2K.
So, it's not a problem with the version of Project or the O/S, but it seems
to be just this plan.
Can anybody help - having to click OK four or five times every time I switch
to VBA is driving me nuts!

I suspect a file corruption. Try:

1) Close the file, re-open it and immediately select File, Save. Doing this
forces some house keeping tasks.

If that doesn't work:
2) Select File, Save as and save as a .mpd file.
Close the file
Open from the .mpd file then file, save as back to a .mpp file.

Rod,

Sadly, neither of these things worked, so I had to copy and paste.
It wasn't big and it wasn't clever, but I DID lear a lot about setting up a
new project.
Thanks for your help!

Pete
