Hi Folks
I have been noticing that SOMETIMES when I open files from Windows
Explorer I am not prompted to enable or disable macros when I should
be. The security level is set to medium. When I open the same file
from within Excel using File > Open I am prompted to enable or disable
macros. I am using Excel 2002 SP3. Colleagues in my office are also
reporting the same issue. We are all on the same version of Excel.
Earlier today one of my colleagues asked me about this problem and we
replicated the issue several times ... ie no prompt using WE / prompt
using File>Open. However, I just asked him to try it again (so that I
could give you all as much info as possible) and he was prompted
correctly using both methods. So, it is an intermittent problem that I
can not replicate on demand.
Can anyone shed any light on this.
Many thanks
Stuart
