File Opens then Excel Crashes

Several users have the same problem: When they try to
open a file saved on a shared location, the file opens,
then Excel displays an error and crashes.

Take the file on floppy to another computer and it opens
fine. (Use the same floppy at the computer where the
copy was done and it crashes.)

Ideas?

I know this post is over 2 years old, but I'm experiencing a simila
situation. One file in particular has a habit of crashing when yo
open it, and recently another file seems to have "caught the bug."

I'm running Excel 2002 on Windows 2000 Professional
