File Protection with Save as & Copy option disable

Every month i need to send a payroll excel workbk to different country
manager via attachment in email for them to update information in one of the
column in the workbook.
I have saved my workbook with password and with protection on worksheet.
But how do I ensure that this excel file that the country manager gets can
only open to update that specific column that i unprotect and save back in
the same file name.
Ie. how can i disable the save as (another filename) & copy command, so they
don't save it as another filename and make changes or use the highlight and
copy to copy and paste it to another new workbook to save?

Well you can share the pass word with the people you want to share the data
reliably.

Also, if you protect the sheet completely, without allowing to edit any of
the cell, it becomes very difficult to copy.

Evenmore, you can also put any password for opening the file.

Hi,

You have a problem - you want to give people a file but you don't want them
to be able to use the information in it. The only true solution - send them
a dummy file with a place for them to put the info you want, when they return
the file put that info in your file.

If you let them have the file they can always copy the data one way or
another. 1. Passwords can be broken! You can download an Excel password
cracker program off the internet, and so can they! 2. Sheet protection
doesn't stop people from copying the sheet's data to a new workbook where
there will be no password. 3. They can always send you a copy of the file
they save and keep a copy on their systems, you can't stop that. 4. Even if
you figure solutions to the above - they can always use a screen capture
program to copy the data.

So back to the solution - send them a input template file with none of your
sensitive info in it, when its returned incorporate it into your files.

If this helps, please click the Yes button.

I have already save the file with password and protect the sheet (only open 1
column for edit). Is there anyway to put a marco within the worksheet to
disable the copy and save as command? So whenever the country manager
receive this workbook, they won't be able to use the save as and copy command.

I don't think so.

Anything that I would come up with would depend on macros and macros can be
disabled.
