File recovery option.

Hi ALL
PLEASE HELP
I m in a very big and serious problem... for the past 4 days i have been
working on an excel 2007 file...
I finished it 2 hours back.... Saved it on disk... and then when i am
trying to open it ..... GOSH.... its showing error...
"You file as unreadable content...... Do you want to recover it....?
when i click YES..... it shows number of attempts and then regrets that
excel cant open the file..... I m in a deep trouble.

What is the reason??????

Please assist ?

Run the disk checking utility provided by your hard drive manufacturer, eg
SeaTools from Seagate
and possibly www.memtest.org

Did you save it to your hard drive or directly to a CD? You used the term
disk which can be used for either.
