Using Access 2003, Win XP Pro sp2
Not sure if I have the correct forum but if not please direct me to
the proper place. Here is my problem.
I have a mdb file that for some reason remains locked after I close
it. I have notieced that if I navigate to a MDB file with windows
explorer and click on it to open it, when i look at the folder it is
in Access as added a icon with a small lock on it. It appears the file
is locked because I have open exclusive. When I close the file this
icon goes away.
My problem is that i have one file that appears to remain locked after
I close it. The icon with the small lock remains visable and when I
try to open it again I get an error message. I have tried to "re
enable" etc to no avail. If I keep playing with it it seem that it
will eventually open and seems to be fine until I close it. I have
been unable to determine any pattern as to why it will occasionally
open. This is on a stand alone machine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
